The Cornerstones FREE from Hunger Center, known as the Food Hub, is pioneering a powerful solution to the intertwined problems of food waste and hunger. Our emergency services include: Food & Basic Needs Financial Assistance Emergency Shelter Hypothermia Prevention Housing Counseling Be a Cornerstones! The Assistance Services and Pantry Program (ASAPP) has, on average, over 10,000 pounds of food available on any given day, stored at its pantry and off-site storage units. Since opening its 14,000-square-foot facility in November 2023, The Food Hub has distributed over 480,000 pounds of rescued food – equivalent to more than 400,000 meals When a person receives any financial assistance, they are required to attend a financial literacy class run in a partnership between Herndon-Reston FISH and Cornerstones. Cornerstones and its partners provide programs and services at a number of community resource centers. It also has infant formula, diapers and wipes, dog and cat food, and miscellaneous personal toiletry items available for When families in our community are struggling, Cornerstones’ emergency services help them regain stability and self-sufficiency.
